BEHIND THE CURTAIN

Behind the Curtain is an investigation of the power of a visual narrative to transfer knowledge on an inter-subjective level. Despite the postmodern trend of the refusal of narrative as a viable communicator of truth, I believe narrative has the natural ability to relay knowledge on a basic human level. Using this initial concept as the framework for an artistic investigation of the issue, my objective was to create a compelling and informative narrative using visual and textual elements. I chose to concentrate my efforts on the analysis and communication of the ideas of media theorist Marshall McLuhan through the creation of various book structures.
