Like all second year students at Penn, I spent my second year (2004-2005) in Melissa Hunt's assessment practicum doing intelligence testing, personality testing, and diagnosis.
I spent my third year (2005-2006) in Rob DeRubeis's Cognitive Therapy for Depression practicum at 3535 Market Street.
In my fourth year (2006-2007), I did the Behavior Therapy for Anxiety Disorders practicum, which has two components: 1) working at the Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center (AATC) with Jon Grayson and Linda Welsh in Bala Cynwyd, PA and 2) working with Alan Goldstein at Penn. The former emphasized exposure and response prevention for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder; the latter was more general behavior therapy for a mix of depression- and anxiety-related problems.
