Baumgart Lab Welcome to the homepage of Dr. Tobias Baumgart and his research group. We are primarily interested in the biophysical properties that define the composition and function of lipid bilayer membranes, which we study through a variety of approaches generally based within the large and diverse field of microscopy. Recent News 2008 February: Baumgart lab receives Alfred P. Sloan fellowship January: graduate students Ben Capraro and Wan-Ting Hsie join the lab 2007 November: Serenity joins lab. Cinzia’s paper is published in the Biophysical Journal May: A new paper is published in Physical Review Letters by Aiwei, Corinne, and Wendy. Corinne wins Novartis summer research award. April: Chih-Jung and Mike join the lab.
