Life-Course Effects of Processing Juveniles as Adults

Policymakers have repeatedly shifted the age boundary between the juvenile and adult justice systems in the hopes of lowering the amount of juvenile crime. We use regression discontinuity and differences-in-differences estimators to determine empirically how sensitive juvenile behavior is to exposure to the adult justice system.
