All the non-paper assignments -- like the one due on Thursday -- are meant to be opportunities to consolidate your understanding of reading and lectures. Please do not stress-out over them; just do them the best you can and MEET THE DEADLINES, EVEN IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY with your product; because the point of the assignments will be lost if you hand these things in late. Your grade will be hurt more by handing them in late than by having them be inadequate (in your eyes).
The Paper #1 assignment deadline allows you a weekend to finish. The draft is meant to be only a draft, that is, a DRAFT; you will want to revise and improve it.
I want you to hand in drafts NOT so I can correct or evaluate them -- and without WATU help I will NOT be able to make detailed suggestions for revision -- RATHER, drafts are due to get you to formulate responses to the assignment in a preliminary way, so you can improve your final response on the basis of lecture, discussion, and QUESTIONS THAT YOU CAN ASK in class.
