ECONOMIC REFORM
Economic globalization produces myriad and often highly divergent effects around the world. One of the most important issues it raises is the question of inequalitywhether globalization and market reform processes are contributing to growing inequality around the world. This project, under the leadership of Nancy Birdsall, examines the causes and consequences of inequality across and within countries, and what strategies are available to offset and manage it. The principal focus is on relations between developed and developing countries, with an emphasis on the implications for global governance and global policy in an increasingly interdependent international system.
