Here's a photo of me protesting the twerps of the Republican National
Convention. I'm on the right... in the photo, anyway! Heh heh...
heh.

London was excellent, complex, frustrating,
overwhelming. Email me, post on guest page for details. Got back a
few weeks ago. Small American things are entrancing. Hence, a
poem:
ORIENTAL TRADING
Let's see, darling and sweet thing:
the mail is an exciting pile today.
We have the bills, requisite and thin,
their plastic windows were a wonder once
to all of us, to the blond pale mothers
in the middle of the continent,
to those of us on the coasts
who pretend we are not them.
Yes, and I am in love with this catalog
with it's yellow faces. I'm crying, almost.
It's full of God in the voices of children,
I can hear the falsetto of His name
in all the small items, with all their joys.
I want the inflatable daisy print backpack,
I want the plastic colored wiggle eyes.
They say I can decorate the leather craft bracelets
any way I want.
They're tricky, these oriental traders
in Omaha, and I'll read this catalog
at breakfast for the next ten days.
What will you buy me, darling,
to celebrate the morning? Please,
let me discover a glass bubble fish
on my pillow.

So -- instead of writing a final for my philosophy class, I wrote a play.
That's how responsible I am, folks. Here it
is.
A new poem.
Here we have
a poem. It is not
For everyone. If you have the mild capacity
To be offended; if you think you might
Send me an email touting morals and religion,
Don't proceed. Otherwise, please tell me what you think.
Also, here is
STEPHANIE MOVES OUT.
And, here is
a picture of my sister, Esther. It's recent, and
good, though a bit somber.
