Adding Greek Input to Windows and Mac OS

Additional input languages can be added to Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard" and Windows Vista through the following instructions. The Greek input language is what will be detailed by this example. Other input languages can be configured in exactly the same manner. This procedure does not convert OS X or Windows into a foreign language version of the operating system. Menus and dialog boxes will retain their original language and dialect. The ability to input text in the added languages and font is what actually changes.

OS X 10.5 "Leopard"

  1. Open the System Preferences applet in the dock.
  2. System Preferences
  3. Select "International" from the "Personal" section at the top.
  4. International
  5. Choose the "Input Menu" tab in the International window.

  7. Scroll-down and select the "Greek" and "Greek Polytonic" languages.
  8. Greek Language Options
