I am a PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania specializing in hard condensed matter physics. My research focuses on solid-state nanopores and their applications, including novel materials for nanopore membranes, novel applications for nanopore sensors, and advancing the detection power of nanopore sensors for single-molecule sensing applications.

This research has involved programming software for both data acquisition and analysis, extensive nanofabrication and characterization, and has given me the basic foundation in biology and genetics necessary to understand the molecular processes the Drndic lab studies.
