Individual oral tutorial sessions

1.      Warm-up: answer some questions about your shopping habit, favorite stores, clothing size, favorite colors etc.

2.      Role play 1: you have a budget of $60, and you want to buy a size S shirt and a pair of shoes (use your own shoe size). Your favorite colors, in descending order, are yellow, black, red, brown and blue. The store has a large selection of clothing in different colors and price range. Your goal is to get the shirt and shoes without exceeding the budget.

3.      Role play 2: you just bought a pair of black pants for $39.95. However, you do not like the color, and they don’t fit well either. You want to exchange for a larger pair in brown or blue. Politely ask the salesperson in the store to help you exchange the pants, and find out if the ones you like cost more.
