London is an exciting city to explore. It's also a great hub for travel
in the U.K. and Europe. Check out these sites for information on
how to get around London, and how to get from London to anywhere else in
the U.K. or Europe--cheaply, quickly, and usually pretty comfortably. As
long as you mind the gap!

Getting Around London
Air Travel
- The British
Airways site has flight information, timetables, online booking, and
more. British Airways have frequent sales for flights between the U.S. and London--watch their site for deals.
- Great deals on European travel can be found at Easyjet.com and Ryanair.com. It is actually possible to
fly from London to such cities as Dublin, Frankfurt, or Stockholm for
£10!
- The Heathrow
Airport site gives up-to-date travel information from the world's
busiest airport.
- A tip for frequent travelers: register with travelocity.com and orbitz.com and sign up to receive emails from them when your desired
itineraries drop in price. It a great way to stay up to date on sales, and a great way to shop smart.
Rails
- Railtrack
offers an interactive timetable search of all passenger rail services in
Britain.
- More rail information is available from UK Railways on the Net.
- Eurostar
operates high-speed train links from Waterloo Station to Paris and
Brussels.
