WORK

As the Senior Distributed Learning Specialist in SAS Computing at Penn, I am involved in a wide array of exciting projects.

Currently, my job includes work on initiatives such as the PennAdvance program, the SAS Instructional Technology Grants, and Blackboard CourseInfo.  Follow the links on the left for more information on each of these projects.


SCHOOL

In my spare time (ha ha!), I am pursuing a PhD in Educational Linguistics at Penn's Graduate School of Education. I'm currently "ABD" (All But Dissertation).   I plan to focus on applications of technology to teaching English as a second language. My particular interest is business and technical English for adults with professional or academic careers.  I also teach in the Evening Program at Penn's English Language Programs.


FAMILY

I've been doing some genealogy research lately.  If you have any information on the following families, I'd love to hear from you:  Scheyder, Wergles (in Austria), Nast, Clark (in Luzerne Co., PA), Strong (in Luzerne Co., PA), Lakota Native Americans in PA, Geary (in Germany pre-1850), Keller, Burk.  The Scheyder Family Tree is available here.  If you'd like me to send you the complete Scheyder/Clark Family Tree that I've assembled so far, just send me an e-mail.  (E-mail address is at the bottom of the page.)
