These verses from the 16th chapter of the Book of Exodus relate how the children of Israel, wandering in the wilderness, found, in the hour of their need, a substance which they had never encountered, manna (literally: "what is it?") from on high. It provided sustenance when sorely needed. We chose this quote to open because this site is about another substance from the sky: what is the dark matter of the universe? Knowledge also sustains.

Are you one who believes that astrophysics, as presently taught, is a valid depiction of the nature of stars, galaxies and the cosmos? Do you make the tacit assumption, despite ignorance of the physical form of more than 90% of universal mass, that this overwhelming population's only manifestation is in the orbits of stars and galaxies?
