Week of January 12 to 16: (Class days: 12th and 14th)

Review of first semester topics such as expressing "habits", "daily activities" etc., along with a discussion on the use of "present tense" and nominal conjuagations.

Practice homeworks reinforcing the first semester activities.

Week of January 19 to 23 (Class days: 19th and 21st)

Practice conversations pertaining to "capability", "necessity" and "possiblity"

Discussion of modal forms (spoken versus written) involved in conversations related to "capability", "necessity" and "possibility" (homework for writing practice)

Class work and home work on the topic of expressing "capability", "necessity", "possibility", "dative subjects" and corresponding use of modal forms. (homework writing practice)

Use of software containing conversations on this topic.

Week of January 26 to 30 (Class days: 26th and 28th)

Reading no. 11 from the reader (reinforcing what was done in the week of January 19 to 23). (homework for writing practice)

Use of the software "MULTILANG" consisting of a quiz - testing the spoken skill related to the topic in the reader. Discussion of their performances in speech, writing, and comprehension of the reading.

Week of February 2 to 6 (Class days 2nd and 4th)

Practicing habitual expressions, and future activities involving the use of future tense. Writing practice for making sentences with future tense. (homework for writing practice)

Use of HYPERCARD software consisting of conversations with future tense markers. Getting familiarity with the use of future tense in actual usages. (homework for writing practice)

Week of February 9 to 13 (Class days 9th and 11th)

Reading 12 involving the use of future tense. In-class writing exercise (homework for writing exercise)

Use of the software "MULTILANG" with a quiz on comprehension of the reading passage, spoken skill in using future tense and writing exercise involving future tense.

Week of February 16 to 20 (Class days 16th and 18th)

Practicing conversations related to past events. Use of past tense markers. Use of verb classes from 1 to 3. Use of HyperCard software with conversations concentrating "past tense". Class room writing exercise with past tense.

Quiz on the use of modal forms and future forms covering the work in the weeks of 2, 9 and 16.

Homework: Writing exercise with past tense forms.

Week of February 23rd to 27th (Class days 23rd and 25th)

Use of past tense continued. Practice conversations related to past events. Discussion on making past tense from verb class 4 to 7. (homework for writing exercise)

Reading lesson 13 involving the use of past tense. Use of the software "MULTILANG" to reinforce the use of past tense and spoken Tamil practice. Conducting an informal quiz containing comprehension exercise, spoken Tamil conversations involving past tense etc.

Week of March 2 to 6 (Class days 2nd and 4th)

Reinforcing present, dative subject, past and modal forms. Reviewing lessons involving the topics covered so far from the beginning.

Mid term covering the topics present, dative subject, past and modal forms.

Week of March 9 to 13 (Class days 9 and 11)

Use of verbal participle form - Making complex predicates - Practice conversation involving a sequence of actions. Use of the lesson on "verbal participle" in HyperCard software. (homework for writing exercise)

In-class writing practice involving verbal participle forms. Perform an informal quiz using "MULTILANG" software.
