My primary research interest in nanotechnology. I am currently working on using graphene to sense DNA as it swims through a membrane. The electrical signal measured by the graphene could be used to sequence DNA cheaper and faster than current technologies. I have also synthesized semiconducting nanoparticles and measured their electrical transport properties, both in the dark and with laser illumination.
