  • This section inculdes information about the African Studies Center at Penn, lists of courses, workshops, and current events at Penn.

  • This directory includes the following sections:

  • K-12 Africa Guide
  • The aim of this guide is to assist K-12 teachers, librarians, and students in locating on-line resources on Africa that can be used in the classroom, for research and studies. It includes the following sections:

  • Direct Feeds from Africa
  • This directory inculdes information provided secifically to the "African Studies WWW" from research and NGO institutions in Africa. it has the following sections:

  • Country-Specific Pages for Africa
  • This is an on-going project to provide detailed information for each African country. Current resources include country-specific flags, maps, languages, embassy and World Fact Book, and U.S State Department travel advisories for each African country. Many country-specific pages also include various links to other on-line resources.

  • Black/African Internet Resources
  • This directory includes Arthur McGee's online list of information storage sites (FTP, Gopher, Telnet, WWW, BBS, Database, etc.) that contain a significant amount of information relating to or of concern to Black or African people, culture, and issues around the world, either in files or conferences. This directory also includes the "African Studies WWW Links" which is an updated list of alternative resources related to African Studies that are not officially included on Art McGee's list of Black/African Related Resources.
