On Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:00 in the Montgomery Theater in the Annenberg center, Ellen McLaughlin will be performing her monologue “Penelope.” This is a modern retelling of the Odyssey, in which a woman takes in her ex-husband, who returns to her after twenty years as a profoundly traumatized veteran, and tends to him by reading from the Odyssey.
