Benjamin Sieff

Bio

I'm an MD/PhD student in the department of anthropology. My past research has focused on religious responses to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in South Africa. My current work involves the intersection of pain and addiction medicine in the United States, post opioid crisis. I'm interested in how clinicians measure pain and identify addiction, and how evolving regulations around opioid prescribing are affecting clinical practice.
