B.A. Anthropology, Minor Biology, University of Montana 2017
My research interests include many aspects of molecular anthropology. My background is in ancient DNA (aDNA) extraction methodology from lithic artifacts and ancient hair samples, yet I am excited about many anthropological questions that can be addressed using DNA. Ancient epigenetics and biomedical genetics are recent passions of mine, yet I always retain interest in human variation, haplogroup analysis and extraction methodology. Following fieldwork in Poland, I added interest in the peoples of the Baltic to previously held zeal for studying Native Americans and primates. I believe we live in the golden age of DNA technology and I can't wait to see what we can learn about ourselves using it.
