Research Interests

My primary research interests are concerned with the interaction of the built and the human in the contemporary Caribbean setting, looking at how particular urban spaces are actively coded with calculated memories and how this political framing results in social cohesion/segregation, essential to political agenda. I seek to examine how architecture perpetuates imposed difference and how Caribbean people occupy, resist and transform urban infrastructure is a reaction to these established systems of governance.
