Pablo Aguilera Del Castillo

Bio

I am a PhD student in cultural anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. As part of my undergraduate and graduate studies, I have explored different forms of development projects and their effects in Mexico and Bolivia. My doctoral research focuses on the energy transition in Mexico and the planning and construction of renewable energy projects in the Yucatan Peninsula, looking at the scientific debates around the adaptation of science and technology to the local context. Through my research, I plan to examine the role that scientists and other kinds of experts play in the transformation of the energy landscape in Mexico.
