Bio

I am a first-year student in linguistic anthropology. My primary research interests are in language register, migration, and identity, and particularly linguistic self-presentation and “passing” among migrants in Arabic-speaking communities. Previous projects have focused on U.S. linguistic nationalism as recent Iraqi immigrants experience and participate in it.
