Account Name Update for Early (Prior to May 2015) Office365 Users

This information is for users that have used their SAS email address to sign up for and download Office365 prior to May 2015.  We are currently making changes to our Office365 Portal and as a result existing accounts created with SAS addresses will need to be renamed.  User logins will change from to .  The account password will remain the same. To ensure that your new login is working correctly you will want go to the Office 365 portal:

portal.office.com

and log into your updated account.

To make sure you are taking full advantage of your account, you will also want to sign out of your old account in Microsoft Office and sign in with the newly renamed account.  To do this you can open MS Word on a computer that you have installed Microsoft Office.  In the top right corner you will see the account sign in area and may see that you are signed into the old account.  You will want to first sign out.  To do so select switch account:

 

You will see a new window appear with a list of currently logged in accounts.  Select Sign Out and Sign out again, next to your account, to sign out of your old account.

You will see the message below:

Click Yes to confirm signing out.  Close and Reopen the MS Word application.  To sign in with your renamed account click on the sign in link in the top right corner of MS Word.

At the Sign in popup enter your new account name, , and select Next.

At the Sign In screen enter your account password and click sign in.
