Master of Environmental Studies

The Master of Environmental Studies (MES) degree is administered by the College of Liberal and Professional studies in collaboration with the Department of Earth & Environmental Science. The degree offers students an interdisciplinary approach to studying the environment with six areas of concentration: Environmental Sustainability, Resource Management, Environmental Policy, Urban Environment, Environmental Biology, and Environmental Resilience and Adaptation.


Master of Science in Applied Geosciences

The Master of Science in Applied Geosciences (MSAG) degree offers students a specialized degree that combines knowledge in theoretical areas of geology with technical expertise in geochemistry, geophysics, hydrogeology, and engineering geology. Students pursuing their MSAG at Penn may concentrate in one of three areas: Environmental Geology, Engineering Geology, and Hydrogeology. Similar to the MES program, the MSAG degree is administered by the College of Liberal and Professional Studies in collaboration with the Department of Earth & Environmental Science.
