Ladysitting means you're not in control; instead, caretakers are taken through an intense and demanding mash-up of fear and mortality, and communal and social memory, a ride-along that more than 50 million people experience each year. Cary explores the struggle to find love again each time her family "dropped it," because, she says, it is only love, as the Song of Solomon assures us, that is strong as death.
