CTL Workshop: Undergraduate Research Mentorship

Monday, November 19, 2018 - 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Dr. Simon Richter

Max Kade Center, 3401 Walnut Street, Room 329-A (next to Starbucks)

How can you help your students think of big questions that ignite their passion for your field? How do you teach students the necessary methods and strategies to pursue those questions? How do you train students to develop their ideas from hunch to thesis statement, all the way through the finished product and beyond? Led by Dr. Simon Richter of Germanic Languages & Literatures, this workshop will give graduate students the tools to improve their undergraduate research mentorship skills. Dr. Richter has advised numerous senior theses, doctoral dissertations, and independent research projects through the Penn in Berlin & Rotterdam summer program. This workshop counts towards the CTL Certificate. All are welcome and lunch will be served. Questions or concerns, email Didem Uca, uca@sas.upenn.edu.
