Liliane Weissberg has been awarded the Berlin Prize of the American Academy in Berlin

Liliane Weissberg is a 2019-20 recipient of the American Academy’s Berlin Prize. These awards are offered annually to a small group of American artists, writers, scholars, journalists, and politicians who will spend one semester at the Arnhold villa at the Wannsee where they will live and do research. Founded in 1994, the American Academy is one of Berlin’s premier research institutions (see Volker Schlöndorff’s film about the institution: https://www.americanacademy.de/about/image-film/). Weissberg will spend the Spring term at the American Academy, and continue her research and writing on postcards and modernism in Berlin.
