Tung Chau Wins 2017 APsaA Essay Prize

Tung Chau has won the 2017 prize from the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) for the best essay written by an undergraduate student at an American university or college in the preceding academic year. Tung will receive the award at the annual meeting of the APsaA in New York this coming January. Tung, an art history major who graduated from Penn this spring, took several courses in the German Department and received the award for a paper on Freud's concept of masochism, written for the course "Freud: The Invention of Psychoanalysis."
