German in the Summer

Freie Universität Berlin im Sommer 

The Freie Universität Berlin im Sommer (FUBiS) offers intensive and semi-intensive German language classes at up to five different proficiency levels. Students may enroll in the six week Summer Term II and/or in the four week Summer Term III. FUBiS also offers a range of subject classes taught in English. Weekly study trips to museums, memorials as well as political and cultural institutions are an integral part of the curriculum. In addition, the program offers a variety of extracurricular activities in Berlin and optional excursions to other German cities. FUBiS arranges off-campus accommodation for the duration of the program as an optional service. Accommodation options range from single or shared student dorms to homestays with Berlin host families. While you cannot receive study aborad credit for FUBiS courses, you may request College credit away in consultation with the department. Internships in Germany

The Steuben-Schurz-Gesellschaft e. V. , Germany’s oldest German-American friendship organization, has been dedicated to promoting cultural understanding between Germany and the United States for 60 years. In 1999, the USA-Interns program was established to provide German and American university students the opportunity to live and work abroad.
