GSWS Pedagogy Seminar with Cathy Turner (CTL): Preparing Materials for the Job Market

Friday, September 12, 2014 - 12:00pm - 1:30pm

Please join us on Friday, September 12th, at 12pm for our first GSWS Pedagogy Seminar of the 2014-2015 academic year, "Preparing Materials for the Job Market" with Cathy Turner (CTL).

In this seminar we will workshop a teaching philosophy as well as discuss materials that go into a teaching portfolio. We will emphasize the role your work and interest in GSWS play into these materials: should they be played down for certain disciplinary positions? or, on the other hand, how can a lack of concrete teaching experience in GSWS still be spun to highlight your investment in feminist pedagogy and in teaching GSWS?

We ask you to please bring a draft of a teaching philosophy to workshop at this seminar.

Lunch will be served! Please RSVP below.
