I hold an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Florence (2012) and a Doctorate in Philosophy and Anthropology from the University of Parma (2016). In Italy, I developed from the very beginning a keen interest in the intellectual history of medieval and early-modern Italy, with particular concentrations on Florentine Humanism, Renaissance natural and political philosophy, and the history of classical tradition. I find extremely fascinating to consider how fifteenth- and sixteenth-century Italian culture engaged in a close conversation with past authors, how it made it possible to revive and disseminate their works, and how the process of reappropriation of and elaboration on the classical heritage shaped our mentality and trasformed our identity.
