The James Joo-Jin Kim Program in Korean Studies awards graduate student travel grant on a rolling basis, each in an amount up to $500, to assist graduate students at the University of Pennsylvania in any field of Korean Studies with the cost of attending a conference where they present papers. Awards will be made on the basis of the competitively established merit of the proposals. Priority will be given to those who will be presenting a paper and those who do not receive support from departmental or other sources. Please note that we are not be able to provide any funding in advance, but can only reimburse expenses after submission of original receipts. In order to be considered for a grant, please submit a completed application form at least six weeks before the conference date. Grant recipients will be reimbursed upon submitting all relevant receipts after completing the travel. Please e-mail a completed application form to Michelle Silverio <msilveri@sas.upenn.edu>.
