In 2018, Pennovation Works established a significant new partnership with Johnson & Johnson, welcomed a slew of innovative new member companies, and hosted 71 programs. Included in that list is the Penn LPS Coding Boot Camp, offered in collaboration with Trilogy Education Services. In addition to technical training, participants in the Boot Camp receive career planning assistance, networking opportunities and hands-on learning activities with employers. With evening and weekend classes that can be taken online or in-person at the Pennovation Center, the part-time program is designed to help working adults in Philadelphia balance personal, professional and academic pursuits.
Rita McGlone, Executive Director of LPS’ Professional and Organizational Development said, “Pennovation is the perfect backdrop for the Penn LPS Coding Boot Camp. Participants learn full stack web development in an environment that models the new workforce, humming with technology-driven innovations.”
