Event Information: 

On Friday, March 27, Penn’s Master of Environmental Studies and Master of Science in Applied Geosciences programs will host the 14th Annual Graduate Student Research Conference with keynote speaker Kathy Klein, Executive Director of the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary. This event is a celebration of academic excellence for our professional master’s programs: more than 40 graduating students from our Masters of Environmental Studies and Master of Science in Applied Geoscience programs are presenting their research posters.

The 14th Annual Graduate Student Research Conference is an opportunity to see the diverse set of projects our students have been working on for the past year and network with other local organizations and Penn collaborators, including:

  • Ramboll
  • Philadelphia Water Department
  • Princeton Hydro
  • Langan
  • The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)
  • Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership
  • The Water Center at Penn
  • The Wharton Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership

Conference schedule:

  • 3:00 – 4:15 p.m. - Poster presentations and networking
  • 4:15 – 4:30 p.m. - Poster awards presentation
  • 4:30 – 4:45 p.m. - Opening remarks: Dr. Yvette Bordeaux, Director, Professional Masters Programs in Earth and Environmental Science
  • 4:45 – 5:15 p.m. - Keynote speaker: Kathy Klein, Executive Director, Partnership for the Delaware Estuary
  • 5:15 – 6:30 p.m. - Happy hour
