This is a "hybrid" course, with synchronous, online meetings and once-monthly, on-campus meetings at the Fels Institute of Government in Philadelphia, PA. On-campus meetings vary by term. Please read the description for dates and times. Also, please note there is an additional $150 online course fee.
Course Description: 

This course provides an introduction to financial management principles for public and nonprofit organizations. The primary objective of this course is to demystify financial information and improve students’ ability to effectively engage in financial discussions, regardless of their role in the organization. This course will be focused on the vocabulary and tools necessary to interpret, analyze, and properly communicate financial information in order to develop and execute an appropriate financial strategy.

On-campus meetings for Spring 2017 are Fridays from 2:00pm-5:30pm and Saturdays 9:30am-1:00 pm on the following days: January 13, 14; February 17, 18; March 17, 18; and April 21, 22. The course will meet virtually on Mondays from 7:15-8:15pm.
