Israeli Film Festival: Precious Life (2010)
Location: International House

After losing two of her children to a genetic immunological disease, a religious Palestinian woman turns to Israeli physicians to try to save her third sick infant through a bone-marrow transplant. Over the course of eighteen months, an Israeli reporter documents the complex and nuanced relationships that develop between the Muslim Palestinian family of the child and the Jewish Israeli medical team. At the same time, he finds himself drawn into in this complex, and at times uncomfortable dynamic, which reflects the personal and political ambiguities of the region.
