Syria's Civil War and the Political Dynamics of Refugee Return
Presenter: Lama Mourad
Location: The Center, Camden County College Blackwood Campus | 200 College Dr, Blackwood, NJ

As Syria’s Civil War enters its tenth year, claims that the war is "ending" are increasingly becoming commonplace. One of the more overlooked aspects of this period is the issue of returning refugees, which has implications both for the future of Syria and for international norms of refugee protection. Join political scientist Lama Mourad as she provides a broad overview of the current state of the Syrian Civil War, including the role of external powers such as the United States, Russia, Iran, Turkey and others in the conflict — with a special focus on the question of refugee return.
