Co-Sponsorship Policy
The Middle East Center sponsors programs and events that promote discussion of the history, culture, and politics of the modern Middle East. We serve the scholarly community of the University of Pennsylvania. Our programs reflect many different points of view. Given the volatile discourse on the contemporary Middle East in the United States today, it is inevitable that our programs may at times be deemed controversial by various groups. Our co-sponsorship in no way indicates endorsement of a particular point of view. The Middle East Center is not an advocacy group. It supports the programming initiatives of the faculty and students of the University of Pennsylvania, who often take the lead in scheduling events and whose viewpoints we may not censor. We encourage the faculty and students at the University of Pennsylvania to use the Middle East Center as their resource.
