This workshop will feature a chamber ensemble of musicians from the COP designed to shine a spotlight on the sophisticated, panoramic art of improvisation in chamber music of the 17th-century.  The workshop will allow Penn graduate students in composition an opportunity to discuss issues surrounding commissioning, premiering, and performing a new work with professional musicians.
