Emeritus Fellowships Awarded to Three Penn Faculty in One Year
Thomas Callaghy, Professor Emeritus of Political Science; Bruce Kuklick, Professor Emeritus of American History; and John Richetti, Professor Emeritus of English, were all awarded Emeritus Fellowships last year from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
The fellowship supports the research and scholarship of retired—yet active—humanities educators, and helps to cover University support expenditures. Callaghy's scholarly interests include international political economy and political and historical sociology, while Kuklick's work spans American political, diplomatic and intellectual history, and the philosophy of history. Richetti has published books on the English novel and biographical studies of prominent literary minds throughout history.
