Is America Broken? A Conversation on the 2012 Elections and Beyond featuring Professor John Lapinski

This year’s David and Lyn Silfen University Forum will consider the question Is America Broken? A Conversation on the 2012 Elections and Beyond, and feature Political Science Associate Professor John Lapinski.  The event will take place on Monday, March 19th from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. in Irvine Auditorium located at 3401 Spruce Street.

University President, and Christopher H. Browne Distinguished Professor of Political Science, Amy Gutmann will moderate the discussion with a distinguished group of experts including New York Times columnist Charles Blow, Penn Associate Professor of Political Science and NBC News Election Analyst John Lapinski, former White House speechwriter and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, former Philadelphia Mayor and Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, and former U.S. Senator Alan Simpson. After what is sure to be a stimulating conversation, the panelists will field questions from the audience. 

General admission tickets will be available on Thursday, March 1st at the Annenberg Box Office. Admission is free for all faculty, staff and students with a Penn I.D.
