The American Society of Criminology has selected Marie Gottschalk’s book, Caught: The Prison State and the Lockdown of American Politics, as the winner of the 2018 Hindelang Award.  This is the ASC’s annual award for the book that makes the most outstanding contribution to research in criminology.
