The Dean's Office awarded Osman Balkan (Comparative Politics), Guzman Castro (Comparative Politics), Joe Lin (International Relations), and Sid Rothstein (Political Theory) Penfield Fellowships in order to support dissertation research. 

The American Journal of Political Science announced that the journal's 2014 editorial board will contain two members of the Penn Political Science Department: Guy Grossman and Matt Levendusky.

SAS Frontiers recently profiled the Center for the Advanced Study of India as it launches a groundbreaking public opinion project.

Professor Guy Grossman's article "Administrative Unit Proliferation" (with Janet Lewis) has been awarded the Kellogg/Notre Dame Award from the MPSA for the best paper in comparative politics.

Ph. D. student Sidney Rothstein published an article in Studies in American Political Development entitled: "Macune’s Monopoly: Economic Law and the Legacy of Populism."
