Penn’s Political Science Department is experiencing a renaissance. Over the past decade, our faculty has grown by 50%, an increase in quantity that has been matched by gains in quality. The strength of our faculty in each of four major subfields is being built with an eye to excellence embracing a variety of approaches and methodologies.

Garlick Selected As APSA Congressional Fellow

The American Political Science Association has selected Alex Garlick, who recently completed his doctorate in the Department of Political Science, for the 2016-2017 class of Congressional Fellows.     

O’Leary Interviewed in BBC Analysis Program

Professor Brendan O’Leary, Lauder Professor of Political Science,  is among the interviewees in a BBC Analysis program devoted to the impact of the UK’s possible exit from the EU.     

Hirschmann Invited to JOP Editorial Board
