Giving on the Line

Earlier this year, Elisabeth Gottlieb, C'99, became the first alumn to make an online gift to the School of Arts and Sciences. "I have taken away so much from the classes, teachers, and friends I experienced in my four years at Penn," said the former English major. "The idea of giving to the SAS scholarship fund was a natural choice. How better to use my money than to help grant someone the same opportunity I had?"

Gottlieb now works at Credit Suisse First Boston on New York's Park Avenue. "I was always planning to give money to Penn but was still in the college habit of procrastinating. By the time I was ready to write the check, I couldn't find the paperwork, so I went online, figuring the address would be listed somewhere. I came across the online giving site. It was such a quick and easy way to make a contribution to the School of Arts and Sciences."

If you'd like to make a gift using the Internet, go to http://www.upenn.edu/gifts. Click on the "make my gift" link and then go to Arts and Sciences.
