Two Opportunities to Support Students

Help build Penn’s financial aid program and become a partner with other College alumni and the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania by participating in the College Alumni Society Millennium Scholarship. This newly created pooled scholarship is designed to raise $100,000, which will provide partial support for a student in the School of Arts and Sciences in perpetuity. Gifts of all sizes are welcome; please use the attached envelope.

Doing their part to build better financial aid packages, the trustees, led by former chairman P. Roy Vagelos, M.D., C’50, have used their personal funds to create a $15 million challenge grant. The Trustees Challenge Fund will match on a 1:2 basis individual gifts that create a named endowed undergraduate scholarship. Named scholarships can be created with a minimum gift of $67K (payable over five years). This amount will be matched with $33K from the Trustees Challenge Fund. All gifts to this fund would be matched by the trustees.

If you wish to contribute to either of these gift opportunities, please contact Jean-Marie Kneeley at 215-898-5262 or by e-mail at kneeleyr@ben.dev.upenn.edu.
