Coming Up: SAS Alumni Weekend EventsThe Future of the State of IsraelTo celebrate the 50th anniversary of the State of Israel, SAS and the Center for Judaic Studies are looking ahead at what the future may hold for the Jewish state. Two panel discussions will examine important issues facing Israel. "Politics and Israel" will feature Ian Lustick, chair of Political Science; H. Michael Neiditch, C'68, president of the Jerusalem Foundation Inc.; and Denise Sondra Wolf, C'92. "Jewish Identities in the Contemporary World" will feature Rabbi Howard Alpert, executive director of Hillel; and Beth Wenger, CJS'97, Katz Family Assistant Professor of American Jewish History. These events will be held on Friday, May 15, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hillel Auditorium, 202 South 36th Street.
