Penn Summer Session I and our 11-Week Summer Session courses will be offered remotely. Currently, Summer Session II is scheduled to run on campus, as planned. The situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is fluid and being monitored closely. Please check back periodically for updates. Course Description: 

During six Saturday field trips, students will study field methods for the collection of geologic data. Use of the Brunton compass for basic surveying and collection of rock strata orientation will be stressed. Students will have an opportunity for field study of rocks and minerals, geomorphology, geologic structures, and topic in Environmental Geology. This course is intended for MSAG students who do not have a degree in geology or need a field methods course for PG licensure.
