San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Summer Internship

Interns will participate in transportation planning and engineering activities including:

  • Designing and implementing transportation safety improvements and multimodal complete streets
  • Performing community outreach and engagement, responding to community requests for transportation improvements
  • Coordinating with other city agencies, contractors and communities on transportation-related projects
Requirements & Details
  • At the time of filing, the applicant must be in an accredited Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Computer Science / Information Services Program at a university or a related field at a community college. Applicants considering a career in transportation engineering or planning are preferred.
  • An applicant must be returning to their undergraduate program or entering/continuing a graduate program in Fall 2018. For students that have graduated, an applicant can be appointed to begin work within 6 months after graduation.
  • All persons entering the City and County of San Francisco workforce are required to provide verifi cation of authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Starting salary of $27.5375 per hour or $2,203 bi-weekly depending on your qualifications. Part-time work opportunities may be available during the school year.
