    The Project in Humanities, Urbanism, and Design (H+U+D), invites undergraduate and graduate students to submit research proposals for Academic Year 2018-19. Small grants will be awarded to support projects that align with the mission of the H+U+D project.

    The Federal Defender Program, Inc. provides legal representation to indigent persons charged with federal crimes in the Northern District of Georgia, as well as state death-sentenced clients in habeas corpus proceedings.

  • WPTP Tutor

    The West Philadelphia Tutoring Project, Penn’s largest community service group, which onnects 300 tutor-tutee pairs between Penn and different schools in West Philadelphia, is now opening applications for tutors! Our primary objective is to improve the educational experience of students in the local Philadelphia community through weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions, with a focus on forming mutually beneficial and long-term relationships.

    Tutor recruitment info sessions are Friday Jan 12, 12:30pm-1:30pm in JMHH F60, and Saturday Jan 13, 12:30pm-1:30pm in JMHH F60.

  • Research Assistant | Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia

    To assist me in historic preservation-related activities, I will hire a research assistant to work on my behalf in the office of the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia (www.preservationalliance.com/) during the spring semester of  2018.  The research assistant will work with Amy Ricci on the Preservation Alliance's easement program.

    The Cleveland Foundation, the world’s first community foundation, launched the Cleveland Foundation Public Service Fellowship program in spring 2016 to offer emerging young leaders from across the country the skills and networks needed to create the community they envision and jumpstart a career in public service.

     

    The program includes:

    A 12-month, full-time paid placement at a selected public sector agency in Cleveland, providing meaningful career-related work experience. The fellowship includes a $31,000 salary with health benefits

  • Dean Leadership Training Program | Sadie Nash Leadership Project

    The Dean Leadership Training Program is an internship opportunity to gain hands-on feminist youth work and facilitation experience. Deans should demonstrate clear leadership experience and an interest in social justice and activism. The position offers a unique learning experience which is fun, dynamic, and challenging. Deans will act as a teaching-assistants, facilitate daily groups and weekly workshops, and support in the administrative needs of the program.
